We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Data Engineer with expertise in SQL and proficiency in data pipeline with DBT. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in designing and maintaining data systems, advanced SQL querying, and developing impactful visualizations to support business decision-making. This role requires deep technical expertise in data engineering, ETL processes, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines with python and ETL processes using SQL and other relevant technologies.
  • Optimize and streamline data workflows to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  • Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable solutions.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle.
  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance on SQL best practices and data visualization techniques.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in SQL & data engineering.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or a related role.
  • Expertise in SQL querying, performance tuning, and database design principles.
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Athena, Clickhouse).
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes, data modelling, and data integration techniques.
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable and efficient data solutions.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in real-time data processing is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming and experience with relevant libraries and frameworks (e.g., pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy).
  • Experience in building & maintaining conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business requirements and ensure data integrity.
  • Experience in implementing various data design patterns for Data Warehouses (Eg: Medallion architecture)
