The Senior Engineer is accountable for optimizing machinery and equipment uptime to ensure the achievement of operational plans. This role involves transforming the maintenance culture from a reactive “breakdown and repair” approach to a systems-based, structured problem-solving methodology.

Key Responsibilities:
- Champion safety as a core value within the Maintenance Department, ensuring injury prevention while maintaining operational performance.
- Apply strong technical knowledge of PLC and CNC machine controls, including the monitoring and maintenance of electrical equipment.
- Promote a proactive mindset by fostering a culture that views equipment failures as preventable through systematic problem solving.
- Drive improvements in equipment and machinery reliability, using machine uptime as a key performance indicator.
- Strengthen organisational capability by implementing lean tools such as 6S, Process Management, TPM, standardised work, and rapid cycle improvements.
- Maximise plant uptime and process efficiency through predictive and preventative maintenance strategies, leveraging the SAP system for planning and execution.
- Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
- Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree (BE) in Electrical Engineering.
- 6 to 8 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong foundational knowledge in engineering principles and maintenance practices.
- Proven experience working with industrial machinery and equipment.
- Familiarity with safety standards and operational protocols.
- Demonstrated ability to apply technical expertise in a practical, results-driven environment.
