Job Purpose:

This position assists the Head Men’s Basketball Coach with the administration and development of all aspects of all aspects of Howard’s men’s basketball program.

Principal Accountabilities:

Assist with all aspects of the basketball program, including practice preparation, competition management, and scheduling.

Support the development and execution of the program’s recruiting plan; identify and recruit qualified student-athletes.

Assist with fundraising initiatives and revenue-generating activities to support the program.

Monitor academic progress, class schedules, and grades of student-athletes to ensure academic success.

Model and promote sportsmanship and ethical behavior among student-athletes.

Collaborate with College administration on alumni engagement efforts.

Uphold all rules and regulations of Howard University, the MEAC, and the NCAA with the highest integrity.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Men’s Basketball Coach

Supervisory Authority:

Reports to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’S Degree

Collegiate-Level Playing And/Or Coaching Experience.
