Ibotta is looking for an Associate Data Privacy Program Manager to assist with our company-wide data privacy compliance programs. Reporting to the VP, Risk and IT, this individual will support execution and maintenance of Privacy at Ibotta by coordinating activities, tracking deliverables, and ensuring documentation is up to date. This role assists with privacy compliance tasks such as maintaining records of processing activities, supporting privacy impact assessments, handling routine inquiries and escalations from stakeholders, and monitoring the resolution of identified issues.
This position is located in Denver, Colorado as a hybrid position requiring 3 days in office (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). Candidates must live in the United States.
What You'Ll Be Doing:
- Assist with the identification of privacy risks, the development and implementation of corrective action plans, and provide ideas on how to avoid and remediate similar issues in the future
- Maintain and update privacy documentation, such as data processing inventories and records of processing activities, breach response, data classification and acceptable use policies
- Support execution of privacy compliance activities including risk assessments, regulatory requests for information, issue management, compliance reviews, exams/audits, data & tooling systems, and/or regulatory & compliance transparency reporting
- Serve as the first point of contact for basic privacy inquiries and operations work, including data subject rights requests, cookie management, and external inquiries
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and action items for the privacy program
- Coordinate the preparation of privacy training, communication and awareness materials. Assist with training internal and external teams and partners on applicable privacy materials and initiatives to build awareness of the strategic value of privacy and promote strong privacy practices
- Support vendor privacy reviews by gathering and organizing due diligence documents
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the broad privacy regulatory landscape impacting Ibotta
- Review and monitor key program metrics and escalate or define corrective actions for privacy operations work
- Assist with the creation of written policies, procedures and standards of conduct regarding privacy governance
- Assist with the creation and facilitation of presentations to support SLT/management understanding and influence decision-making

What We'Re Looking For:
- 1-3 years of experience in privacy, security, or compliance and risk management
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of US and International data protection regulations and privacy frameworks (e.g. OECD, US-EU Privacy Shield, PIPEDA, ePrivacy directive, and GDPR, CCPA and other state privacy regulations)
- High standards, impeccable integrity, unquestionable good judgment, solid analytical skills and strong oral and written communications skills

Additional Details:

- Base compensation range: $80,000 - $90,000 Equity is included in overall compensation package. This compensation range is specific to the United States labor market and may be adjusted based on actual experience.
