About The Role:

The Executive Director, Consulting will lead high-impact engagements across the chemical and energy value chains, bringing deep subject matter expertise, commercial acumen, and strategic insight to solve complex client challenges. This role combines leadership and client advisory experience with the ability to influence senior stakeholders, while working cross-functionally with product and research teams to deliver tailored solutions. As a trusted advisor, the Executive Director provides thought leadership and advanced technical insight to help clients navigate market transitions, optimize operations, and capture strategic opportunities.

We offer short- and long-term market coverage for more than 200 core building-block chemicals with a full suite of advisory services and top-tier events held around the globe. The worldwide chemical industry looks to Chemical Market Analytics to guide decisions and help manage risk across the entire value chain. 

You Will:

  • Own and expand senior-level relationships with key clients and stakeholders; act as a strategic advisor by understanding their most pressing business challenges.
  • Lead the scoping, design, and execution of complex consulting projects ranging from market feasibility to investment due diligence and strategic planning
  • Develop bespoke proposals with clear problem framing, commercial terms, resource plans, and value articulation.
  • Deliver and oversee high-quality consulting outcomes by leveraging advanced technical knowledge, market data, and internal/external subject matter experts.
  • Provide intellectual leadership and technical depth to ensure consulting engagements yield strategic and commercially sound recommendations.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales and business development teams to shape and position consulting offerings aligned with client needs and market opportunities.
  • Drive the successful execution of multi-client studies and custom analytics deliverables.
  • Represent the business as a thought leader at industry conferences, webinars, and client workshops; contribute to white papers and strategic insights.

You Have:

  • 15+ years’ experience in consulting, strategy, or analytics within the chemical and/or energy sectors.
  • Deep expertise across the value chain, with exposure to operations, commercial negotiations, and investment decisions.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver high-value, cross-functional consulting projects.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and analytical acumen, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and BI tools.
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of engaging executive stakeholders.
  • Leadership presence with experience mentoring teams and fostering collaboration.
  • Resilience in navigating ambiguity and structuring solutions for complex challenges.
  • A degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field; MBA preferred.
