Claims Underwriting Executive working with our London based third party administrator (TPA) team

We have an exciting opportunity for a Claims Underwriting Executive handling various classes of business including yet not limited to marine, aviation and property.

As a Claims Underwriting Executive, you'll manage a portfolio of insurance claims, from initial assessment to final settlement on behalf of insurers.

We provide comprehensive training, so even if you're new to claims, we can help you develop the necessary skills. We value the right qualities more than experience – adaptability, resourcefulness, a keen eye for detail, excellent communication, and a proactive approach are essential. While you'll work independently, you'll also be part of a supportive team with dedicated technical and managerial support.

The Skills You Will Have When You Apply:

  • Experience working on claims: Commercial claims handling
  • Excellent communication skills: You'll interact with policyholders, insurers, contractors, and more. You'll explain complex details clearly and negotiate fair settlements.
  • Analytical abilities: You should be able to assess risks and make informed claims decisions.
  • Time management: As you'll plan your own schedule, you must effectively manage your time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines. You will handle multiple claims simultaneously.

What is helpful, but not vital, in your application:

  • Familiarity with insurance policies and working in the London insurance market.
  • Experience with claims software and tools including ECF and write back systems.
