Client Finance AnalystKey Roles
The Client Finance team is responsible for the recording and issuing of all Finance transactions relating to Clients that Sedgwick supports. The team has a high level of engagement with both internal and external stakeholders, from the issuing of payments, communication of bank reconciliations and monthly client statements, and responding to any queries in relation to these transactions.
The role requires a candidate to support and work collaboratively with members of the Finance Department in the delivery of a high-calibre service.
Cross-training into different areas will be key to the colleague’s personal professional development across all areas of Finance and to ensure the business has a robust/resilient finance team in place to provide the service required.
Specific responsibilities (including but not limited to)
- Management of Client accounts assigned to include but not limited to:
- Creation of new accounts on the system and with the bank
- Producing, recording, and issuing of payments relating to the client
- Reconciliation and issuing of monthly client statements/bordereau
- Daily/Weekly/Monthly Bank Reconciliations
- Liaising with internal & external stakeholders in all queries relating to the client account
- Management of stop payments and out-of-date cheques
- Lodgment of cheques received
- Recording all banking transactions both inbound and outbound
- Management and reconciliation of all fees due to Sedgwick
- Management of close process and return of funds to the Client
- Cross-train in non-assigned accounts to provide cover for other team members
- Assist in the Debt Management process within the Finance
- Posting of journals to the Finance accounting system
- Process Foreign currency payments on Client accounts
- Timely and efficient resolution of unresolved client fund issues
- Engage in Finance Department projects as assigned
- Ad hoc duties as assigned by the Finance Management Team

Qualifications/Skills
Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
- Leaving certificate Accountancy/Business Related 3rd level Qualification and/or commenced a recognised accountancy technician’s course is desirable but not essential
- Insurance qualification APA is desirable but not essential
Technical & Analytical Skills:
- Highly numeric
- Strong attention to detail and process
- Sound knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong reconciliation/problem solving skills
- Experience with SUN/SAP accounting system preferable but not essential
Professional Experience:
- Prior Experience within the Insurance industry/Client Portfolio Role desirable but not essential
- Experience working within a busy Finance department preferable but not essential
Organizational & Process Skills:
- Ability to meet daily/weekly/monthly deadlines
- Ability to follow up on unresolved issues in timely and efficient manner
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
- Good collaborative skills, able to quickly establish effective internal and external working relationships with key people across different services/functions
Work Approach & Adaptability:
- Ability to work flexibly on own initiative and as part of a team
- Calmness and ability to respond effectively when under pressure e.g. in an emergency
