The Role
Rothschild & Co is recruiting a junior Digital Content professional to assist with creating, sourcing, editing and publishing content on the group’s internal and external digital channels that is engaging and shareable, and conveys our unique brand identity. This role is focused on execution, ensuring that Rothschild & Co’s digital communications are published in a timely manner, accurately, and to the highest standards, while providing the opportunity to develop skills and experience in content strategy.
The Digital Communications team sits within the Group Corporate Communications division. It acts as a centre of excellence ensuring that Rothschild & Co is up to date in its digital communications approach. It is responsible for the Group’s digital communication channels. It also works closely with divisional marketing and media teams and other Communications stakeholders across business functions to advise and assist with their communications strategies. The role works closely with the broader Group Corporate Communications team including Internal Communications, Brand and Events, providing support on external and internal communications across the Group.
Responsibilities
- Creating engaging digital content, including writing, editing and image selection, in collaboration with stakeholders from around the Group, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines
- Publishing of content on the external www.rothschildandco.com website, our social media channels and the Alumni Network, the intranet, internal emails and newsletters
- Supporting in maintaining the content calendar and publishing frequency, ensuring the content covers a wider range of topics, divisions and offices and that the timing of posts is appropriately paced
- Conducting trainings for colleagues on digital comms and brand-related platforms
- Assisting in analysing data to provide insights and feedback to refine future content
Experience, skills and competencies required
- Experience in a corporate communications team with responsibility for creating and publishing content
- An enthusiasm to learn about and contribute to a broad range of corporate communications topics including social channels, website SEO, employer branding, internal communications and media relations
- Excellent communication skills including written, visual and spoken; ability to convey information in an engaging, clear and concise manner.
- Strong organisational skills, ability to multitask and manage own workload, maintaining exceptional attention to detail even when working under pressure
- Passionate about keeping up to date on current and upcoming digital trends
- Great relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate, involve and influence a varied group of stakeholders and colleagues, at all business levels, across the Group’s offices worldwide
- Creatively minded, bringing new ideas to meet digital communications objectives
- Ability to identify and implement improvements to systems and processes, create structures and processes, and to work in agile, iterative ways
Additional skills & competencies
- Experience with website analytics tools, such as Google Analytics
- Experience with content management systems, such as Optimizely, Umbraco etc.
- Experience with social media tools, such as Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Sprout Social
- Experience with image editing software such as Photoshop
- French language skills desirable
