The Logistics Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating the importation of mining equipment, spare parts, and related materials from international suppliers. This includes handling import documentation, working with freight forwarders and customs brokers, and ensuring compliance with Indonesian import regulations. The role also supports domestic logistics and delivery coordination to client mine sites across Indonesia when needed.
Your Responsibilities
Import Coordination
- Manage end-to-end import process for overseas shipments of mining equipment and spare parts.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation including Bill of Lading, Invoice, Packing List, Certificate of Origin, etc.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to ensure timely and accurate customs clearance.
- Monitor import licenses, HS codes, duties, and taxes to ensure full compliance with Indonesian regulations (Bea Cukai).
- Track incoming shipments and update relevant internal stakeholders and systems.
Vendor Coordination
- Communicate with mining clients regarding delivery schedules and logistics arrangements.
- Coordinate with Buyers and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery commitments are met.
- Work closer with Procurement Team to maintain cost, time, and quality performance.
Delivery Support (Domestic)
- Assist with coordination of deliveries from warehouse or port to customer mine sites when required.
- Help arrange local transportation (e.g., trucking or air freight) based on delivery needs.
- Support in tracking and ensuring safe and timely deliveries, especially for critical or urgent shipments.
- Communicate with clients, warehouse teams, and drivers to confirm schedules and resolve any delivery issues.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of import transactions and logistics activities.
- Update internal systems with shipment status, delivery dates, and document archives.
- Provide regular reports on import timelines, clearance status, and logistics KPIs.
What You Bring
- Experience in logistics support for mining clients or remote site deliveries
- Familiarity with bonded zones, tax exemption facilities, government import permits.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple shipments simultaneously
