Additionally, providing direct support to people<br>served.<br></em><br><em><u>Essential Job Functions:<br></u></em><br> </div><ul> <li>Ensure the health and welfare of the individuals supervised and assist individuals, encourage creativity and teach techniques.</li> <li>Must have the ability to learn various art genres and design skills (e.g. sewing, ceramics, glass) and learn to work with numerous materials in order to teach a range of art and design styles.</li> <li>Plan and execute art, design and other visual elements.</li> <li>Develop and nurture strong relationships with vendors and consignment agencies to facilitate the sale of individual artworks.</li> <li>Actively engage with art festivals and other relevant venues to showcase and promote artistic works. This includes identifying, attending, and enrolling in events that support the work of the individuals.</li> <li>Teach hands-on activities and demonstrations.</li> <li>Possess “can do” attitude, innate sensibility for quality customer service, and a positive upbeat personality</li> <li>Provide thorough and detail-oriented quality to all work.</li> <li>Ability to introduce a variety of new art or craft techniques.</li> <li>Complete all required documentation in accordance with applicable state agency(ies) and</li> <li>Evergreen Presbyterian Ministries, Inc. policies and procedures</li> <li>Implement behavioral and other programs as trained and requested.</li> <li>Assist individuals with their goals as outlined in their plan of care document(s).</li> <li>Identify potential behavior triggers and defuse or redirect as needed to ensure safety and well-being of all involved.</li> <li>Administer medication as needed.</li> </ul><div> <br><em><u>Qualifications<br></u></em><br> </div><ul> <li>High School diploma. Some college preferred and/or prior art training or class work in a recognized art program.</li> <li>Ability to learn basic computer skills (i.e. turn on/off, log in/out, input data, approve timesheet).</li> <li>Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.</li> </ul><div> <br><em><u>Physical Requirements<br></u></em><br> </div><ul> <li>Constantly moves about to coordinate work</li> <li>Regularly works in fast pace environment with multiple task deadlines</li> <li>Regularly moves and positions objects weighing up to 50 pounds</li> <li>Occasionally exposed to viruses and infectious conditions</li> <li>Constantly alert and observant during working hours</li> </ul><div> <br><em><u>Supervisory Responsibilities</u></em> </div><div><br></div><ul><li>Will supervise.</li></ul><div> <br><em><u>Employment Variables<br></u></em><br> </div><ul> <li>Must have a good driving record which meets the minimum requirements for Evergreen and reliable transportation. </li> <li>Must pass drug screen and criminal background check.</li> <li>May be asked to work some evenings and weekends as required.</li> </ul><div> <br><em><u>Special Requirements<br></u></em><br> </div><ul> <li>Represent Evergreen in public in a fashion that would reflect credibility and professionalism on the organization.</li> <li>Desire to work with people with disabilities and enhance their quality of life</li> <li>Function successfully in stressful situations</li> <li>Demonstrate high moral standards so as to be a positive role model for individuals</li> <li>Complete all orientation and on the job training prior to starting work</li> <li>Work assigned shifts as required by management</li> <li>Attend all training classes as required</li> </ul> </div>
