Who we are looking for

The Regulatory Management Services (RMS) team within Global Technology Services (GTS) – First Line Risk and Control function has recently aligned the organization along functional lines (‘Regulatory Examinations and RVEs’, ‘Requatory Queries and Attestations’, and ‘Technology Compliance’).  The RMS team is looking for an experienced VP to lead the ‘Technology Compliance’ function globally, to drive effective alignment of the organization with technology regulations and best practices, and implement ongoing monitoring to support the GTS organization in maintaining technology compliance.  In addition, this person will also oversee the north America-based RMS team to oversee compliance with local regulations, approve responses to local regulators, and develop and nurture the team in terms of core foundational skills.
 

What you will be responsible for

As the Technology Compliance Vice President:

  • Oversee the firm’s efforts to prepare for  and execute periodic technology compliance assessments.
  • Conduct gap assessments in technology compliance against technology relevant regulations.
  • Facilitate remediation efforts in partnership with enterprise process owners, technology risk advisors and information security officers.
  • Establish a continuous monitoring framework to alert non-compliance as new of modified regulations are published.
  • Mobilize and chair Technology Compliance governance councils to ensure adequate awareness throughout the organization of changes to relevant regulations, assessment execution status and remediation efforts.

As the north Americas RMS lead:

  • Drive compliance locally to ensure timely completion of assessments, and remediation activities, and act as the regional approver for all RMS related efforts impacting the north Americas region.
  • Engage with regional counterparts to ensure appropriate approvals as secured for gaps assessment and remediation activities.
  • Develop and nurture the local RMS team to foster the right skillset and soft skills required to make the RMS function successful with regards to people development.
  • Re-enforce an inherent culture of accountability and ownership within the RMS organization.
  • Build strong relationships with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to drive risk excellence.
  • Maintain adequate records and evidence of RMS activities.

  • Must have the ability to operate in a timely in a deadline-oriented environment with simultaneous deliverablesd
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Experience working in the Financial industry preferred, but not required. 

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S. or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in Technology risk or general IT areas related to regulatory compliance, assessment frameworks, compliance programs, and technology remediation.
  • Preferably 5 years of prior experience in a technology compliance team.
  • Preference for working towards a professional certification: Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), Certified Risk & Information Systems Controls (CRISC), etc

Salary Range:

$130,000 - $205,000 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
