In this role, you'll be at the forefront of material movement innovation, designing and optimizing our material flow processes, with a focus on automation, sequencing, and kitting to achieve world-class efficiency.
What You Will Do:
- Material Flow Design: Develop and sustain material flow integration throughout the facility, including designing processes from supplier to shipment of finished goods.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement activities by identifying and resolving material flow challenges while driving optimization across the facility.
- New Product Integration: Manage the expansion of material flow processes, particularly as new products are introduced, ensuring just-in-time (JIT) delivery to points of use.
- Standardize Operations: Develop and maintain best practices for internal and external logistics, focusing on kitting, sequencing, and material handling automation.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Communicate with the materials, supply chain, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) and overall objectives.
- Innovative Solutions: Transform material flow and factory layouts with creative, cutting-edge solutions that go beyond typical industry methods.
- Indirect Labor Oversight: Oversee indirect labor activities, including defining kitting and milk run operations and calculating process times to maximize labor and space efficiency.
- Scheduling and Flow Optimization: Assist with scheduling systems and define internal product movement, ensuring smooth material handling and delivery throughout the facility.

What You Will Need:
Industrial Engineer Ii:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Up to 3 years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing engineering, specifically in material handling and flow processes.
- Knowledge of kitting, sequencing, milk runs, and production systems in discrete manufacturing, with a strong understanding of demand flow technology (DFT) principles.
Industrial Engineer Iii:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in supply chain or manufacturing engineering, specifically in material handling and flow processes.
- Knowledge of kitting, sequencing, milk runs, and production systems in discrete manufacturing, with a strong understanding of demand flow technology (DFT) principles.
Skills, Abilities, And Experience:
- Process Design Expertise: Demonstrated ability to design efficient material flow processes, from supplier to finished product shipment.
- Lean Manufacturing: Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and how to apply them in real-world manufacturing environments.
- Material Handling Automation: Strong background in material handling automation and technologies, including kitting, sequencing, and just-in-time (JIT) delivery systems.
- Project Management: Ability to manage large-scale projects from concept to implementation, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
- Data Analysis & Simulation: Strong data analytics skills, using metrics and simulations to quantify and drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven experience working with multiple departments to align material flow objectives with broader company goals.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinker with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex issues related to material movement and production processes.
