Position Summary
An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Materials Management Team for a period of 12 months as Secondment as Services Officer, Specialist planning. We are seeking applications from customer focussed, innovative thinkers and adept data handlers to join this fast paced, customer focussed team.
The Materials Management team is responsible for continued development, support and delivery of services available to our customers for managing Line Replaceable Units (LRU) and Parts (LRP). The latest and ‘best in class’ service recently developed and made available is the Parts Availability Service (PAS) offering full support to our customers. This service is a differentiator for Rolls-Royce in a competitive space of the aero aftermarket.
This role is to aid the delivery of PAS and our other LRU management services, by using data to define customer requirements and forecast future spend for required units.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Support customer requests for Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPLs) using forecasting tools
- You will drive and deliver programmes of work in a fast-paced environment
- Project manage Improvement projects and cost reduction Projects across the Materials Management Team
- Assist in decision making on inventory management tools and lead change in these systems as part of our growth
- You will support and lead change in these systems as part of our growth
- Maintain relationship with internal customers within the services and Customer business teams
- Assist in improving capabilities and processes within the service development team with a view of automating these activities
Position Qualifications:
- Purchase Order process knowledge an advantage
- Supply Chain or Logistics experience useful
- You will ideally have a technical understanding of LRU hardware or will have logistics or supply chain experience

- Excellent IT & Excel Skills
