MRO Overhaul Base Manager (UK)

An exciting opportunity have arisen within Aftermarket Off-Wing Operations. We are seeking a highly driven individuals in a pivotal area of the business. These roles offer the opportunity to shape and influence Aftermarket growth journey throughout our global overhaul & repair network. With a broad scope and high visibility, you’ll leverage data, systems, key stakeholder management and insight to drive real change in the efficiency and performance within our extended network.
The Overhaul Base Manager is a leadership position within the Aftermarket Off-Wing organisation aligned to the VP of MRO, based in Derby, U.K.
It is primarily focused on improving the operational performance of the MRO suppliers and Joint Ventures across the Aftermarket Off-Wing network to enable performance relative to SIOP and the ongoing ramp up in volumes, product capability requirements & TRT reduction. This role is a key interface point for the broader, global Aftermarket organisation and will interface with the regional OBMs to ensure we drive and achieve our key deliverables. The ideal candidate must be able to plan and coordinate many kinds of operational activities in a diverse technical environment.
Responsibilities Include:
- Act as a key interface between the UK and global MRO teams (OST and OHB Teams) as well as interfaces within between cross functional & value stream teams.
- Drive operational improvement through ownership of the repair industrialisation, acting as the focal point integrating between our Business Capability & Development team, the MRO bases & Off-Wing Operations.
- Drive operational improvement through joint ownership of the TRT improvement process, with the regional OBM. Acting as the focal point integrating between the UK RR business & the MRO supplier & the regional OST to ensure clarity in performance, and pace of execution for improvement activity.
- Drive and enable EPKD reduction to target across the internal and external repair landscape.
- Support & lead the continuous development of the Operating Management System and Integrated Scorecard execution.
- Lead relevant capacity and capability enabling programmes to ensure proactive readiness inline with SIOP demands.

- Experience in MRO
- Knowledge and understanding of gas turbine maintenance and repair processes and procedures.
- Familiarity with airworthiness regulations
- Ability to prioritise, work independently or in a team environment with a strong customer focus.
- Strong operational understanding
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with shop personnel and good network across organisation.
- Ability to understand and communicate technical details and solve complex technical issues
- Ability to demonstrate strategic ability, problem solving, and decision making
- Experience working with multiple business functions, both technical and non-technical
