Job Responsibilities:

What you can expect

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Kubernetes Engineer to take ownership of container orchestration across physical hardware, VMware, AWS, and Azure environments. Kubernetes and containerization are the primary focus of this role, with essential workflows built around Docker, GitOps using ArgoCD, and CI/CD pipelines executed in GitLab. Deep Linux knowledge is beneficial but not mandatory; hands-on expertise with Kubernetes and container technologies is a must. You will join an experienced, globally distributed team and provide technical leadership.

  • Architect, deploy, and manage Kubernetes infrastructure in hybrid environments (bare metal, VMware, AWS, Azure)
  • Operate containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security
  • Design and manage GitOps workflows using ArgoCD (Helm charts, deployment synchronization, secrets management, automatic rollbacks)
  • Manage CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, including runners, jobs, pipeline-as-code, and seamless integration with container registries
  • Build reliable Helm charts and Kubernetes manifests (ConfigMaps, Secrets, Deployments, StatefulSets) to standardize service deployments
  • Monitor and optimize cluster performance (resource limits, pod affinity, autoscaling policies) using tools like Prometheus and Grafana
  • Handle networking and ingress/egress for Kubernetes workloads: DNS, load balancing, ingress controllers, and firewall rules
  • Troubleshoot containerized applications including GPU-enabled workloads (NVIDIA toolkit, resource scheduling, CUDA/cuDNN compatibility)
  • Integrate Kubernetes storage solutions (S3 buckets, Fibre Channel, persistent volumes) for applications requiring stateful data
  • Champion container security: image hardening, scanning, secrets protection, and adherence to least-privilege configurations
  • Collaborate with a globally distributed team to define and improve operational standards and workflows
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for Kubernetes-related incidents

What You'Ll Bring

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes in production environments
  • Deep knowledge of Docker and containerization techniques (multi-stage builds, runtime optimization, image hardening)
  • Proven expertise with GitOps workflows using ArgoCD (declarative deployments, rollback, Helm chart creation)
  • Practical experience managing pipelines in GitLab CI/CD, including auto-scaling runners, artifact storage, and container registry integration
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes resource management (requests, limits, node/pod autoscaling)
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes-native networking (DNS, ingress controllers, NetworkPolicies) and volume/storage provisioning (PV/PVC, S3 buckets)
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools for Kubernetes (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, FluentD/FluentBit)
  • Experience with GPU-powered container workloads (NVIDIA toolkit, device plugins, GPU scheduling/tuning)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills for containers and Kubernetes clusters in hybrid environments
  • Skilled in effective technical communication and documentation within distributed teams

Nice To Have

  • Kubernetes-related certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
  • Infrastructure as Code tooling experience (Terraform or Ansible) for cluster provisioning
  • Familiarity with cloud-native Kubernetes services (e.g., AWS EKS, Azure AKS)
  • Python for scripting and automating Kubernetes workflows using API integrations
  • GPU workload specialization, including machine learning or high-performance computing apps
  • Helm chart best practices and custom Kubernetes operator development

What We Offer

  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work
  • Health programs, sports and team events
  • An extensive training program and exciting internal development opportunities
  • Meal allowance
