Located in Exeter, you will work in a small team, within the larger collections department, that concentrate solely on these strategic clients.
What You'll be doing;
- The controller has their own EMEA ledger and targets but also acts as a global liaison for their accounts by guiding strategy and supporting regional Collections, Sales and Admin teams for the Key Strategic accounts in Asia and Americas.
- Required to connect with Key Senior Sales, Finance, Admin and billing specialists on a regular basis addressing regional and global open and aging debt, ongoing disputes or problem areas that require focus and monitoring as well as swift action to resolve.
- Required to build tightknit interdepartmental relationships to form a united team to service the client and LSEG.
- Producing global debt reporting for tracking and management of each client’s Global debt portfolio.
- Operate all established collection procedures using initiative, imagination, and flexibility to achieve targeted expectations/results while promoting customer good will and satisfaction.
- To anticipate developments and to identify accounts that requires special attention and act conclusively to resolve difficulties, disputes, and consulting management where appropriate.
- Drive continuous improvements in terms of cash collection, DSO, resolving incomplete cash/unapplied receipts, and reducing aged debts.
- Ensure credit control policies and procedures are followed accurately within the region/portfolio.
- Building an understanding of our local and global contracts and our clients’ departmental structures and using this to establish a ladder of junior to senior contact points within the client’s infrastructure to enable effective chasing for problematic debt and maintaining a clean record of these contacts.
- Partner in monthly business unit debt provisioning meetings and ensure resulting decisions and requested actions are followed up.
- Taking ownership and initiative in relation to debt ledger management and the decision-making processes on disconnecting
What You'Ll Bring
- All round solid international Credit Management experience.
- This role requires mentoring and supporting other team members, therefore we are looking for leadership behaviors.
- Strong detail handling skills and Excel skills.
- Ability to understand customer and revenue impact with credit control related activities.
- Knows when to escalate appropriately when involved in a process chain.
- Excellent English verbal and written skills is essential.
- Excellent customer services experience.
- Understands, interprets and sets priorities to achieve goals
