Lead & Grow Our Queensland Civil Team – Relocate to Brisbane

We are seeking a Civil Lead to join our Brisbane team based in our CBD office. This role provides an opportunity to deliver a strong pipeline of projects for a range of clients, work with technical experts across the Tonkin business and foster the growth and development of a Queensland Civil team.

You can be a Senior Civil Engineer and RPEQ who is eager to transition into a Lead role., be comfortable in both technical and client facing project roles, demonstrated history in managing teams in achieving successful outcomes and business development.

About The Role:

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Leading and growing the Queensland Civil Team while building a culture that reflects Tonkin’s values of Care, Trust, Together and Excellence
• Managing, guiding and reviewing civil engineering design in a range of project types including building civil, greenspace, urban spaces, road upgrades, intersections, traffic upgrades and shared use paths
• Business development by actively building key client relationships, identifying and pursuing key opportunities and maintaining a pipeline of work
• Establishing and driving the strategic direction of the Queensland Civil Team through long term business planning

About You:

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:

• 8+ years of experience MIEAust CPEng / NER preferred
• Experience in managing a team in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects
• CPEng/RPEQ in Civil Engineering
• Experience working and coordinating with architects, landscape architects, contractors, Authorities and clients
• Experience in business development
• Experience managing internal project design resources
• Experience undertaking design and documentation reviews and providing certification
• Ability and willingness to mentor and develop staff
• Experience in stormwater, pavement grading, earthworks, pavements, roadworks.
