Certified Medication Aide (Med-Tech)

Join our compassionate team at Volare Health, where we strive to provide exceptional care in a supportive environment. We're currently hiring Certified Medication Aides (Med-Techs) who are passionate about resident well-being and skilled in medication administration.
What You’Ll Do:
- Administer medications safely and accurately under the supervision of the Charge Nurse
- Document medication administration, effectiveness, and any observed side effects
- Monitor residents for medication reactions and promptly report concerns to the nursing team
- Promote and protect resident rights throughout all interactions
- Maintain medication storage areas in compliance with facility policies and state/federal regulations
- Assist with shift change accountability for all medication records
- Obtain and record vital signs as needed during med passes
- Ensure infection control practices are followed, including proper use of universal precautions
- Communicate clearly with residents, staff, and families while referring clinical questions to licensed staff as appropriate
What You’Ll Need:
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing
- Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide Certification (MA-C) program
- Active Medication Aide certification in the state of Oregon
- Strong communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude
- Compassion for seniors and long-term care residents
- Flexibility with scheduling and willingness to adapt as needed
- Ability to read, write, and follow instructions in English
- Must pass background check and reference screening
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing
- Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide Certification (MA-C) program
