Esg Squad Manager

This position will be responsible to assist with managing the business line of ESG for Commercial Real Estate clients— driving profitability with high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. As a squad manager, you will oversee the account health of your team member’s portfolios and actively coach team members to achieve maximum client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage a customer relationship at the executive/stakeholder level for 10+ accounts
• Manage a team of 6-10 associates, including consultants, data analysts, and solutions architects
• Accountable for account and team health, and ultimate success and retention of the customer
• Provide program management and strategic planning for customers as required per contractual agreement
• Understand each customer’s contracted scope and company’s ESG goals; identify upsell opportunities
• Manage contract requirements and customer expectations
• Assign projects to team members based on workload and skill set
•  Identify any core competency deficiencies in staff and rectify through training or hiring
• Knowledge and comfort with ESG concepts and trends
• Can deliver on portfolio-level strategic and planning deliverables
• Work with Director and above on department and company-wide initiatives including upskilling and platform enhancements
• Coach team members through career growth paths

Employment Type:

• Full-time, exempt (salaried) position
• This position can be 100% remote, in-office, or hybrid, depending on the applicant’s preference. 
• Travel is required for quarterly meetings in Chicago and as needed (client request)
• This position is not eligible for H1B or other work visa sponsorships

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in related field (Environmental Studies, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability) required, higher degree preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role and leading a team of at least 4-5 people
• Expert in project management and how to reduce risk along critical path
• Foundational knowledge of GRESB, Energy Star, CDP, GRI, DJSI, SASB, and TCFD Frameworks (preferred, but not required)
• Proficiency in Microsoft software applications, particularly Excel
• Experience assessing GHG Inventories (real estate experience is a plus)
• Experience using Salesforce.com (preferred, but not required)
