Position Overview:

McCarthy Tire Service is seeking an experienced and dependable Off-The-Road Tire Technician to perform tire services on large equipment at customer sites including mines, quarries, ports, and construction sites. This is a field-based role requiring prompt response to dispatches, professionalism, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tire service for large off-the-road (OTR) equipment at customer locations.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to service dispatches.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers and dispatch personnel.
  • Ensure safe, accurate, and efficient completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Support and assist team members when needed.
  • Take initiative in performing above and beyond the minimum job requirements.

Additional Duties:

  • Take on other duties and responsibilities as they arise. Flexibility and a proactive attitude are essential.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the tire and/or construction industry.
  • Strong technical knowledge of tools, equipment, and best practices for tire service.
  • Valid CDL Class A or B driver's license.
  • Valid MSHA certification (training can be provided).
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and able to pass a drug test and DOT physical.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and instructions.
  • Must be physically capable of lifting, carrying, and maneuvering heavy equipment.
  • Willingness to work occasional overtime, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team.

Safety Requirements:

  • Follow all safety guidelines outlined in the Employee Safety Manual.
  • Perform daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and required preventative maintenance.
  • Properly use and maintain all tools and safety equipment.
  • Report all incidents and accidents immediately to your supervisor.
