Job Description:
Ensures system-wide data and networks are secure. Understands advanced security controls and principles regarding data storage, transmission and encryption is key to this role. Communicates technical information to non-technical employees is required. Performs security evaluations and assessments to identify risk levels and solutions. Serves as expert security resource for customers. May help guide the work of lower level technical employees.
Principle Responsibilities
- Security System Administration
- Monitors and maintains systems used to secure data and networks. This will include monitoring events and resolve security incidents, escalating as needed.
- Responds to customer requests for device updates.
- Develops repeatable testing plans and ensure documentation of testing activities.
- Researches, advocates and implements new technologies, architectures and security projects that will support system-wide security requirements.
- Program development and documentation
- Uses current industry trends and experience identify security solutions then develop and lead implementation.
- Updates policies and procedures to incorporate current security and healthcare practices.
- Prepares presentations of both technical and non-technical scope.
- Acts as advocate for secure systems and processes whenever appropriate.
- Communication
- Interfaces with customer and co-workers across IT department to ensure security procedures and policies are followed, using written and verbal forms of communication.
- Engages in prompt and clear communications with users and customers regarding basic security incidents, events and inquiries.
- May use knowledge to educate peer groups in security best practices.
- Project Management and Risk Assessments
- Participates on project teams and identify tasks, timelines and report status of activities.
- May be responsible for medium and some large project management.
- Develops and improves risk evaluations and assessments. Identifies risk levels and possible solutions including technology, policy or process change.

Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required principle competencies as listed on the job description
- 5+ years experience in information security or related field in developing and implementing tactical security solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information services or related field
Licenses/Certifications
- CISSP or related security certification (CEH, CCSP, Security+, CISM) required

Pay Range
Pay Range: $53.11 to $73.49 per hourThe pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.Benefit Summary
