Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Lung Screening/Nodule Program Coordinator for our ECCC Specials Medical Department. 

The primary duties of the Coordinator are: 

  1. Dedicated clinic nurse for the lung nodule clinic physician.
  2. Take in new referrals and schedule patients for clinic physician.
  3. Complete all follow-up i.e., scheduling of surgeries, scans, follow-up appointments, referrals to other physicians or referrals for other services, etc.
  4. Manage all phone calls
  5. Work directly with the Lung Navigator to transition patients from benign treatments to cancer care when applicable.
  6. Attend weekly MDC (Multidisciplinary Lung Clinic)
  7. Coordinate weekly MDC when Lung Navigator is out
  8. Receive notification of all incidental lung nodules found at CHH.
  9. Coordinate with lung center and radiology to develop a process to track those nodule patients and get referral to our program should patient not already have a PCP or method for follow up in place.
  10. Screen all Lung Cancer Screening orders at CHH to make sure all elements are in place to ensure reimbursement.
  11. Enter all data for all Lung Screening CT’s performed at CHH into the NRDR registry.
  12. Run reports and manage quality data as required.
  13. Attend training to become certified to provide smoking cessation education.
  14. Coordinate lung screening clinic.
  15. Work with marketing in order to increase and grow visits for lung screening clinic.
  16. This person would be the point person for any community outreach/education needed to increase the awareness of the importance of lung screening and to screen patients for eligibility.
  17. Visit physician offices and educate staff on our lung screening clinic as well as requirements for lung screening CT orders.
  18. Manage Thynk Health lung nodule management  system for CHH and follow MHN policy for the mgmt. of lung rads scores and incidental findings
Qualifications
  • Junior College/Technical School required, Bachelor's preferred. 
  • RN license required. 
  • AHA BLS required. 
  • OCN preferred. 
  • 1-2 years working in an  IP or OP Oncology Department required.
