Experience with handling and assembling small parts or operating equipment in a laboratory-like environment will be highly favourable. The successful candidate must have the ability to work afternoon shifts.

The Role

The Production Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting diverse production operations through smooth and efficient manufacturing of whole or sub-parts of our product range using defined processes while maintaining high-quality standards.

The successful candidate will become a key member of our small, fast-growing team. The role will be varied, with the core duties including, but not limited to:

  • End-to-end construction and assembly of products
  • Operate, monitor and perform basic maintenance of a variety of manufacturing equipment
  • Accurately record production data using digital systems and maintain detail logs
  • Adherence to established procedures and quality standards
  • Meeting production targets
  • Product packaging and shipment preparation
  • Parts stocktaking

Who we're looking for

We’re after someone with the right attitude and skills, with an ability to demonstrate:

  • Experience with handling and assembling small parts or operating equipment in a laboratory-like environment
  • Experience interpreting detail aligning units using jigs and fixtures and inspect components to ensure conformance to specifications, highly regarded
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and integrity
  • Proficiency in using computerized systems for data entry and basic analysis
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principles and quality control processes
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, work instructions and safety protocols
  • Physical stamina to stand/sit for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A positive, self-motivated team player and the ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to work different shifts as needed
  • High school certificate/diploma or equivalent, a degree in a related field would be highly regarded

Full training will be provided.
