The Team Leader of QA/QC Radiologic Technologists supports quality assurance and control functions across multiple UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care centers. This role ensures consistent delivery of high-quality imaging services, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The Team Leader mentors Radiologic Technologists, drives performance improvement initiatives, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to enhance patient care and workflow efficiency. This position plays a key role in maintaining clinical standards, fostering team development, and aligning radiology operations with organizational goals.
*This position includes visits across all centers but the individual may be anchored at a center close to them.*
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support QA/QC Radiologic Technologists across assigned centers.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of radiology QA/QI programs.
- Conduct audits of image quality, badge compliance, and exception reporting.
- Collaborate with clinical leadership to identify and resolve workflow inefficiencies.
- Support onboarding, training, and continuing education for Radiologic Technologists.
- Coordinate with radiology vendors and overread practices.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal safety standards and equipment protocols.
- Monitor radiology-related documentation, lab orders, and results.
- Participate in planning and execution of radiology initiatives.
- Provide support during site assessments and operational reviews.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Travel between facilities as needed to support team development and QA/QC oversight.
Qualifications
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist (PA, WV)
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- Experience with multi-site operations and management
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to lead teams and support professional development.
- Quality Assurance Expertise: Skilled in designing and managing RT programs.
- Operational Strategy: Strong understanding of workflow optimization and clinical efficiency.
- Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of radiology equipment, safety standards, and compliance.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Problem Solving: Proactive in identifying and resolving imaging and operational challenges.
- Time Management: Capable of balancing supervisory duties with strategic initiatives.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiar with healthcare laws and radiology-specific regulations.

Additional Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods in hybrid work environments
- Willingness to travel between facilities and remote locations as scheduled
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use safety equipment as required
