Your New Role:

• Creating the ETL test Strategy for existing projects at NAB
• Experience in testing data validation scenarios and Data ingestion, pipelines, and transformation processes (e.g.,ETL).
• Advanced SQL scripting capabilities
• Exposure to Databricks Testing Strategy for DLT or equivalent
• Understanding of software testing concepts and DWH applications
• Design and create test strategies that leverage reusable and scalable ETL testing scripts and/or templates.
• Code and execute complex SQL queries that validate the accuracy of big data content from source to target tables
• Experience of Agile Software Development & Testing methods for deployment in cloud environments.
• An understanding of big data engineering tools and how they can be used strategically (e.g. Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Dask, Databricks)
• Providing leadership for evolving and maintaining the test frameworks that are currently in place for the ETL Testing.
• Managing and mentoring a team of Quality Engineers that are working in the different squads to deliver quality across applications.
• Leading the delivery and implementation of consistent testing methodologies, disciplines and processes using associated best practices across assigned lines of business.
• Quality assurance of development output with contribution to peer review, establishing and measuring against key metrics such as unit and component test coverage, functional delivery and evaluation of defect density over time.
• Managing risks and issues related to the provision of the testing service and release.
• Responsibility for people management of all individuals assigned to the testing team including performance appraisals and personal development planning.

What You Will Bring:

• Exposure and experience in test driven development methodology.
• Experience working in Agile methodology at large enterprise scale.
• Engineering:
• Experience in testing data validation scenarios and Data ingestion, pipelines, and transformation processes (e.g.,ETL)
• Advanced SQL scripting capabilities
• Verify and validate data accuracy, completeness, and consistency using ETL tools and SQL queries
• Track record in applying the principles of a software development life cycle.
• Experience in testing systems that capture, verify, and maintain field generated metadata.
• Familiarity with multiple back-end and front-end languages and libraries, databases, database design, web servers, web services, APIs, and UI/UX design.
• Collaborate with developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements for ETL testing
• Knowledge and experience with modern testing development practices and integrated testing products such as selenium, mocha and their integration with tools such as Gitlab, etc
• Management:
• Understanding of people management processes including measurements for productivity and individual’s performance.
• Ability to establish strong relationships to manage stakeholders, vendors and business colleagues and to influence strategic direction across multiple bank areas
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong customer focus.
• Qualifications and Skillset
• 12+ years of relevant experience in ETL testing
• Must Have created Test strategy for ETL testing.
• Experience in strategic development and implementation of Quality Engineering solutions (Automation Frameworks, Performance Validation) for ETL
• Experience in Agile Methodology
• Proven thought leader & trusted advisor
