The Role
Macquarie Medical Imaging at Macquarie University Hospital is seeking an experienced and skilled MRI & CT Radiographer to join our innovative, patient-focused medical imaging team on a permanent full-time basis.
In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic MRI and CT examinations using state-of-the-art imaging technology, both independently and in collaboration with our team of Specialist Radiologists. You will play a key part in delivering safe, timely, and effective imaging services to patients across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
Your role will include communicating effectively with patients and clinicians, recognising and promptly reporting critical findings, and ensuring imaging procedures are performed in accordance with radiation safety and MRI safety standards.
You’ll also support education and supervision of undergraduate and graduate radiographers and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture within the hospital and broader MQ Health network.

To Apply
To be considered for this position, please demonstrate the following in your CV and a 1–2-page cover letter:
- Bachelor’s degree in medical Imaging
- Current and active EPA license
- Minimum 2 years of clinical MRI and CT experience (previous private hospital experience desired)
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in MRI and CT, with evidence of further education or certification (e.g., ASMIRT, ISMRT, or postgraduate qualifications) desirable but not essential
- Strong understanding and adherence to MRI safety standards and ALARA principles
- Ability to adapt imaging protocols to suit a range of patient presentations
- Sound verbal and written communication skills with a patient-focused approach
- IV cannulation skills and the ability to administer IV contrast
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to manage workloads and accommodate urgent or inpatient requests in a hospital setting
- Willingness and ability to participate in shiftwork, on-call rotations, and weekend/holiday work as required
Note: This position requires you to comply with occupational screening, assessment and vaccinations in line with Macquarie University Health requirements and requires a current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for NSW. You may also have to satisfy MQ Health that you meet all background checks (including criminal record and qualification checks).
