The Role:

Due to upcoming parental leave, we have a 12-month full-time contract available in our South Hobart-based Finance team. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Management accountant to take ownership of our revenue function and contribute to the effective and efficient financial operations of LGT.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone with strong financial acumen, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for supporting community-focused services.

In This Role, You Will:

  • Own the revenue process, including initiating invoicing schedules in Microsoft Business Central, receipting, reporting, and reconciling income streams.
  • Raise and manage customer invoices, monitor receivables, and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Perform regular bank reconciliations and reconcile child care income and Paychoice receipts.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies across income sources.
  • Complete end-of-month revenue accounting, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and income analysis.
  • Calculate and review child care utilisation metrics.
  • Reconcile property management reports and review weekly creditor payments.
  • Lodge debts with collections services and draft cheques as required.
  • Support the Finance team by backfilling roles or assisting during peak workloads.

What You’Ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Proven capability as a super-user of finance systems, with prior experience in Wiise (Microsoft Business Central), SAP Concur, Xap or Access Micropay highly regarded.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (child-related activity) and recent National Police Check (or ability to obtain).
