About The Role

This role plays a vital part in our 'Partnering in Prevention' program which focusses on improving responses to victim-survivors and contributing to the broader societal change needed to end FDV. We are looking for a skilled and passionate facilitator who can positively engage with diverse stakeholders to drive meaningful change in the prevention of FDV.

The Partnering in Prevention program is designed to engage specifically, for small to medium sized workplaces and community organisations across WA. The program aims to increase awareness, knowledge and understanding of the gendered drivers and to bring about the behavioural and cultural change, that is essential to achieving ending to Violence Against Women (VAW). The program provides guidance and support to enhance organisational approaches, to better support staff impacted by family and domestic violence (FDV) and promote an equal and respectful workplace.

In this role your key responsibilities include:

  • Work as part of a team to deliver engaging and impactful training to organisations, community groups and, the general public
  • Develop and deliver training packages, in accordance with program need and sector demand.
  • Participating in national and state forums to support evidence-based prevention approaches in Australia
  • Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships through networking and program promotion
  • Coordinating and managing the training schedule

This position is offered as on a part-time (9 day fortnight) fixed-term contract until 31st August 2026, based in Bentley and working across the Perth Metropolitan and regional areas as required.

Essential Selection Criteria

  1. Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, Mental Health, Social Sciences, Psychology or Social Work.
  2. Demonstrated experience and success in delivering engaging training presentations.
  3. Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in the prevention of, and/or response to, FDV.
  4. Proven experience in developing and evaluating training programs.
  5. Ability to proactively engage with diverse stakeholders and participants.
  6. Demonstrated experience in meeting organisational and contractual obligations, including report writing and outcome measurement tools.
  7. Strong attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage and prioritise competing responsibilities.
  8. Minimum Certificate IV in Training and Assessment/and or equivalent experience.

Desirable

The successful candidate will need to provide:

  • National Police Clearance Certificate
  • Working with Children Check
  • A valid motor vehicle driver's license with a good driving records
