Job Summary:

The Laboratory Coordinator is responsible for managing the Stat laboratory processes on behalf of Eurofins Ascend Clinical’s clients. This position is responsible for negotiating new and existing contracts, preparing amendments as new client facilities are onboarded, coordinating courier services, establishing the requisition process, review and approving monthly payment for services, and reporting stat lab utilization to clients. Additionally, the Coordinator will track and post monthly charges needed to invoice clients on a monthly basis using the STAT Lab app.

Responsibilities:
  • Contract with hospitals/laboratories for the Stat lab needs of dialysis facilities, including but not limited to:
    1. Contact STAT lab provider and locate party responsible for contracting purposes
    2. Prepare contract using Ascend template for specific stat lab or work with STAT lab provider to assure all required terms are included if using their contract.
    3. Negotiate contract terms, revise contracts as needed before submitting for approval

  • Work with Business Operations Director to establish new courier routes
  • Create and maintain spreadsheet for contracting progress and completion ie: key components of contract or rack contracts needing renewal (if they do not have an evergreen clause)
  • Perform analysis to determine if reimbursement requested by Stat labs via invoices are correct. Work with Stat Lab billing departments if any issues
  • Utilized STAT lab app for tracking Stat Lab use, charges, billing, services by patient and facility
  • Work with STAT lab to provide requisition forms to STAT labs as needed
  • Provide all needed documentation to Eurofins A/P to add STAT lab providers to their system and issue a vendor code
  • Prepare payment requests for check issue once an invoice has been determined correct, prepare the backup documentation to support each check requested and submit for approval within contracted timeframe
  • Compile and log all refunds requests to be processed by Eurofins A/P billing office for submittal by the deadlines set for check processing
  • Receive Check copies from Eurofins to be matched to backup and mailed
  • Work the StatLab email, and employee email for correspondence from either the Stat Lab or Dialysis Centers
  • Identify and document and issues as they arise, escalate issues as needed
  • Collaborates and works closely with designated contacts for facilities
  • Work reports and special projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree or higher in Healthcare, Accounting, or related field preferred
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a health care setting is required
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook) 

Compensation:

- $55,000-$65,000
