Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Microelectronics Center (NGMC) is seeking a Manager 3, Global Supply Chain Manager. The position will be located in Linthicum, MD and/or Annapolis Junction, MD supporting the Microelectronics, Design and Applications (MD&A) Business Unit. This position will report directly to the Restricted Programs Global Supply Chain Director.
The Global Supply Chain Manager 3 must possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communications skills and effective problem-solving capabilities. The candidate will be responsible for recruiting and mentoring future leaders, directing training and skill development initiatives and promoting engagement and inclusion activities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to influence up and down the chain of command are required, as is a proven track record of innovation, problem solving and career development.
Responsible and accountable for the strategy, planning, and execution of all material and services content for a Program or collection of Programs. Acts as the main focal point for the Program Management Office (PMO) for the entire supply chain and coordinates cross-functionally to ensure that all supply chain commitments are met, and that appropriate mitigation plans are developed and executed to address any programmatic risks related to suppliers. Develops the material strategy and leads the activities for GSC in all phases of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP). Ensures that prior to program execution, all elements of the proposed program(s) plans have complete and accurate schedules, budgets, make/buy plans, and procurement and subcontracts strategies. Leads supply chain Program execution, is accountable for resource planning, material cost, forecasting, schedule performance, risk/opportunity management, supplier performance, and supply chain issue resolution. Briefs the PMO and executive management on the status and issues affecting Program cost and schedule performance.
General Roles & Responsibilities (Not limited to):
- Act as the primary Global Supply Chain interface to the MDA Program Office, Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing and Mission Assurance on all aspects of global supply chain program scope.
- Overall responsibility for managing proposals, production planning and execution of programs, while monitoring and addressing all cost, schedule, performance, and quality issues
- Acts as the key point of contact for senior leadership on all contract and program related matters
- Provides oversight and accountability for all GSC related activities in the area to ensure compliance with company objectives and obligations
- Demonstrate success/problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering or program management
- Provide leadership and guidance on complex agreements such as long term agreements, teaming agreements, strategic alliances, MOAs, overriding Terms and Conditions, claims and settlements
- Responsible for employee development, performance management and employee engagement activities
- Proven effective leadership and team building skills.
- Experience in preparing executive level briefings and presenting to executive leadership.
- Strong in Strategic Thinking.
- Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences
- Ability to lead and communicate in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; work well in a team environment; and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task competing priorities and schedules

- Experience in influencing and driving change in culture
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to expeditiously learn, assess and evaluate new processes/procedures with minimal to no supervision.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8 years of Supply Chain experience or a Master’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of Supply Chain experience.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of team lead or direct people management
- US Citizenship
- Ability to obtain a TS/SCI Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with microelectronics products.
- Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt Certified
- Experience in utilization of quantitative data to develop/maintain key metrics and subsequently completing and reporting meaningful analysis.
- SAP experience
- Active TS/SCI Security clearance
