Senior Pipe Stress Engineer

Amentum Nuclear Projects and Consulting is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy and Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, we deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering and construction. We are currently executing many contracts, performing work that is essential to our clients' missions across a broad range of functional areas. We are looking for a Piping Engineer for our Oak Ridge, TN location, you will have the chance to focus on projects.

The necessary Job skills will include but are not limited to: 
•    Perform the following calculations:
o    Stress Analysis
o    Pressure Relief Calculations
o    Standard Pipe Support Calculations
•    Assist in the development of pipe Support Details
•    Select pipe supports for metal and plastic piping from catalog supports and designed engineering supports when required.
•    Perform piping safety reviews.
 

•    Bachelor of Science (BS) or higher in Mechanical Engineering
•    25 years of engineering experience (Preferred)
•    Less than 5% travel
•    USA citizenship
•    General Computer skills: Excel, WORD, Microsoft Office tools
•    Technical Computer experience with PIPE-FLO, Caesar II, AFT Arrow, AFT Fathom (preferred) 
•    Technical Writing Skills for Stress Calculations
In addition to the requirements above the ideal candidate may have these preferred skills:
•    Candidates local to Oak Ridge, TN is preferred, However, candidates with applicable experience and qualifications that are local to Oak Ridge, TN are encouraged to apply while considering additional travel requirements.
