Introduction:
Aga Khan University, chartered in 1983 as Pakistan's first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research and health care of international standard relevant to Pakistan and the region. The affiliated Aga Khan University Hospital has well-equipped investigative services and provides state-of-the-art clinical facilities.

Aga Khan University-Institute for Educational Development, Pakistan (AKU-IED) has been a 3-decade partner with the Department of Education (DoE), GB contributing to improving children’s access to quality education, strengthening governance of education, and facilitating community involvement in schools in Gilgit-Baltistan.

AKU is currently partnering with the DoE GB on the GB Education Fellows (EFs) project, i.e. a commitment of GB Govt to at least partly address the dearth of teachers in the public sector schools in GB. The AKU-led Consortium invites applications from suitable candidates to induct them as Manager for GB Education Fellows project at PDCN.

This is a grant-funded contractual position for a period of ten months.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for systematically capturing and documenting the project’s activities, events, challenges, success stories, and outcomes, while effectively highlighting and showcasing the project’s achievements. Specifically, you will be responsible to:

• systematically document project activities, processes, success stories, and outcomes
• collect and organize project information (interventions, progress, events, success stories, etc.) 
• develop relevant content, and disseminate it through social media platforms and other communication channels
• draft research reports, policy briefs, case studies, and other documentation outputs
• support project management in showcasing project achievements
• support the design and implementation of baseline and end-line surveys, evaluation studies, and related reports
• submit periodic reports and conduct small research studies (e.g., case studies), as required
• provide assistance in data analysis (quantitative and qualitative) and, where needed, train project staff in data analysis techniques
• facilitate and maintain project’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp Group etc) for information dissemination
• undertake any other relevant tasks assigned by supervisors.

Requirementsyou Should Have:

• a master degree in social sciences, natural sciences, statistics or related subjects from a reputable national or international university
• at least two years of relevant work experience
• strong background in educational research and use of digital resources in education
• excellent analytical, communication, and writing skills in English (oral and written)
• proficiency in computer applications, particularly data analysis software
• demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• strong knowledge of research methodologies, communication strategies, and reporting
• motivation for fieldwork and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• willingness to undertake frequent field visits for data collection and monitoring
• flexibility to work beyond regular hours when required.
