Purpose:
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain supports the planning, development, and implementation of risk-managed, cost-effective flow of goods and services to meet project and business needs. This position plays a key role in ensuring effective execution of Supply Chain activities and strong supplier relationships for the Canada West region. The Senior Manager will provide hands-on leadership, project-focused governance, and functional support with a primary emphasis on the successful project delivery of a key large project, while contributing to continuous improvement, consistency, and excellence in project performance.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary Supply Chain leader for a major project, ensuring effective subcontracting, procurement, and supplier management in alignment with project goals.
- Lead the execution and continuous improvement of supply chain processes, methodologies, and tools across the Canada West region, with a focus on delivery excellence.
- Provide day-to-day operational management of Supply Chain activities for a major project, ensuring compliance with governance requirements, company policies, and project standards.
- Act as a key escalation point for Supply Chain–related challenges on the major project, balancing cost, schedule, risk, and quality outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Legal, and Project Delivery) to ensure Supply Chain solutions are fully integrated into project execution.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, or Inuit) businesses to support Worley’s and client’s commitments and social license.
- Support negotiations and management of subcontracts, purchase orders, and other commitments; assist in resolving claims and commercial disputes.
- Deliver cost-effective and risk-managed outcomes, continuously seeking opportunities to improve supplier performance and project results.
- Contribute to pursuits, proposals, and strategies for future large projects by sharing project experience and Supply Chain insights.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities to the Supply Chain team to build regional capability and high-performance culture.
- Promote a strong internal customer focus to ensure Supply Chain outcomes meet project and business objectives.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including the adoption of digital tools, innovation, and performance-enhancing practices.
- Champion Worley’s values inside and outside the organization, with an emphasis on safety, ethics, and integrity.
What You Will Bring:
Technical And Industry Experience:
- Strong Supply Chain project delivery and governance experience, ideally on large-scale EPCM industrial projects.
- Proven ability to engage effectively with project stakeholders, clients, and suppliers.
- Experience with a variety of contracting models (EPC, EPCM, Lump Sum/Fixed Price, Reimbursable, etc.).
- Strong negotiation, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and drive results.
- Demonstrated ability to foster team development and high performance.
- Working knowledge of contract law and supply chain systems.
Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
- University Degree (or equivalent) in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Professional designation in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent is beneficial.
- Extensive experience in Supply Chain management, including major project experience.
- Recognized for practical expertise in Supply Chain execution and project delivery.
