Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a visible and active commitment to HSE management and its associated requirements in a project environment 
  • A thorough knowledge of the regulations, codes and standards and a good understanding of onshore and offshore engineering practices applicable to Instrumentation & Control design for oil and gas facilities.  
  • Extensive knowledge  
  • Experience in brown fields & asset services type project / contracts. 
  • Excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its clients. 
  • An excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the Instrumentation & Control discipline, and the basic requirements of other disciplines. 
  • An excellent knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory requirements. 
  • Competent in the use of relevant Instrumentation & Control discipline specific software. 
  • Extensive knowledge of design deliverables required for Conceptual, FEED and Detailed Design, and establishing the appropriate level of detail and checking required for each phase. 
  • Experience and good understanding of DCS, SIL 3 F&G and ESD, PA/GA system 
  • Design and selection of instrumentation/equipment used on the onshore/offshore process facilities. 
  • A thorough knowledge of codes, standards and practice applicable to the design and installation of instruments (eg API, ISA, ANSI, AGA, ISO and IEC codes etc.) 
  • A thorough knowledge on the selection of equipment and materials for new projects and replacement in existing installation. 
  • Extensive experience in the design of microprocessor-based equipment such as SCADA/DCS, ESD, IPS Fire & Gas Detection, Fire Protection Systems, metering, WHCP, etc.  

It Skills:

  • Proficient in DCS, SIL 3 F&G and ESD, PA/GA system will be preferred. 

Quality Assurance

  • Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance systems. 
  • Work with project managers/project engineers to ensure all projects are set up and executed in full compliance with all the requirements of the Worley Project Management Process (WPMP) and General Management System (EMS) using consistent approaches, Work Breakdown Structures, work methodologies and reporting systems 
  • Monitors the  closure of all identified risks and opportunities. 

Safety

  •  Responsible for personal safety safe working practices. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
  • Promoting health, safety and environmental awareness.#LI-Onsite

  • Maintain HSE focus with the team to ensure OHSE requirements.
  • Demonstrate behaviour and business practices commensurate with a culture of world’s best health, safety and environmental performance.

  • Identify and report work hazards and incidents.

Industry Specific Experience:

  • Extensive work experience at a senior level within the Oil & Gas industry. 
  • Design and detail engineering experience within the oil and gas industry, leading a team of Instrumentation & Control discipline engineers and designers 
  • Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in the Instrumentation & Control discipline in the same or similar industry, including experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary projects and teams.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Full-Time bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation/Electronics Engineering from an accredited university 
  • MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory requirement. Candidates not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period. 
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage.
