The Role
As a Senior Global Process Specialist with Worley, you will work closely with our existing team to deliver projects for our clients while continuing to develop your skills and experience etc.
- The Process Designer enables the end-to-end governance, optimization, and continuous improvement of processes within a defined journey of the employee lifecycle (portfolio). This role is pivotal in driving process excellence, compliance, and performance across all geographies, functions, and business units, leveraging organizational capabilities to enhance the employee experience and deliver on strategic aspirations.
- Employee lifecycle: The Process Designer will oversee a portfolio within the employee lifecycle and will collaborate closely with both the Experience and Process Centers of Excellence to ensure strategic alignment and integration of standards across all deliverables. Ensure consistent application of governance, taxonomy, and knowledge management frameworks to maintain coherence and quality across people lifecycle processes.
- Experience Design: Ensure, through the creation of experiential journey maps and personas, that a human-centered design approach is embedded across all process design activities. Leveraging key inputs such as Moments that Matter, Personas, and Voice of Employee insights, the Process Designer will translate insights into intuitive, emotionally resonant process design that enhances usability, trust, and connection.
- Process Governance: Lead all process activities within the governance areas of process compliance, process change and process performance.
- Process Analysis and Prioritisation: Inventory and analyze end-to-end processes and associated artifacts to identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. Prioritize initiatives based on impact, experience value, and business alignment using established demand management frameworks.
- Process Design & Continuous Improvement: Design processes using various process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen. Balance operational excellence with people-centered thinking to ensure processes deliver both efficiency and a positive employee experience. Deploy continuous improvement cycles that are informed by stakeholder feedback, performance metrics, and employee sentiment. Embed mechanisms for ongoing iteration and insight capture. Provide impact assessment and analysis support for non PxPE driven initiatives as they relate to any changes to process within the people lifecycle.
- Technology Enablement: Design and build processes that are optimized for automation and the integration of AI technologies, including GenAI and Agentic AI capabilities. Collaborate with IT and digital teams to ensure process architectures support scalable automation and advanced AI-driven solutions. Drive the adoption and effective use of enterprise-level IT systems and platforms, including workflow automation tools, ERP systems, and data management solutions, to enable process efficiency and intelligent decision-making. Apply IT governance and security principles to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of process-related systems and data. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and AI advancements to identify opportunities for process innovation and enhanced employee experience.
- Data Interpretation and Analysis: Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to generate process insights and inform decision-making. Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process optimization based on data analysis. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and improve process performance.
- Documentation & Compliance: Document process changes and ensure they comply with agreed standards, corporate policies and risk guidelines. Coordinate with internal audit teams to ensure compliance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage stakeholders early and consistently to gather input, build alignment, and ensure adoption. Provide training and support to users to ensure smooth adoption of new processes.
- Change Management: Identify and communicate change impacts based on process change and liaise with team members across change and operations to ensure these changes are supported and realized.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor and report the performance of implemented processes and co-ordinate necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement. Use analytical tools to measure process performance and identify further improvement opportunities.
- Process Framework: Contribute towards the development of strategy, governance, business roles, operating model, activities/responsibilities, engagement model and ecosystem.
- Knowledge & Content Management: Align with the governance model for people practitioner knowledge.
- The Process Designer will be the focal point for a portfolio of processes within the people lifecycle. Within this portfolio the following deliverables will be owned by this role:
- Identify as the main touchpoint (go to person) for wider Worley for any process question, issue, opportunity arising within this portfolio.
- Inventory all current process documentation within this portfolio and assess gaps to agreed standard.
- Create experiential journey maps and personas.
- Identify and actively communicate with key stakeholders/partners impacted by this process to ensure all pain points are identified for analysis and prioritization.
- Translate all existing process documentation into agreed format.
- Understand the moments that matter for all personas within future process design.
- Identify all future opportunities for streamlining, simplification, outsourcing and automation and the optimization through AI.
- Propose the prioritization and backlog for all identified process opportunities for roadmap inclusion.
- Determine process metrics within and across future processes.
- Determine RASCI as required within the process.
- Identify and communicate change impacts based on process change and liaise with team members across change and operations to ensure these changes are supported and realized.
- Own level 3 and level 4 documentation within the portfolio.
- Review and assess any deviation of process from globally driven initiatives.
- Collates and analyses data for ongoing operations (metrics, landscape, controls, FTEs).
