Accounts Receivable Supervisor

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Supervisor to lead our accounts receivable team and ensure the accurate and timely collection of outstanding invoices.  This position oversees the AR team, monitors customer accounts, and implements strategies to reduce delinquency and improve cash flow. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of leasing contracts, and a proactive approach to collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily operations of the accounts receivable and collections team
• Oversee the timely and accurate processing and allocation of the incoming payments
• Design and establish the company’s dunning policy
• Monitor ageing reports and initiate collection actions for overdue accounts
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize bad debt
• Resolve customer disputes and coordinate with legal or external agencies when necessary
• Collaborate with sales and operations to ensure accurate billing and contract data
• Maintain AR and collections policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Prepare monthly reports on receivables, collections performance, and cash forecasts
• Train and mentor team members to enhance performance and efficiency

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable and collections, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Experience in the automotive or leasing industry is desirable
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

Skills:

• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of credit risk assessment and legal collection procedures
