Job Overview
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll be the crucial bridge between qualified prospects and company leadership, focusing on appointment setting and lead qualification rather than cold calling. This relationship-focused role puts you at the center of the company’s expansion efforts, working with warm leads to identify genuine buying opportunities and connect serious prospects with decision-makers. You’ll collaborate closely with a dedicated lead generation specialist, ensuring a steady pipeline of pre-qualified opportunities while building meaningful connections with potential clients who truly need the company’s transformative services.
Responsibilities
- Engage with pre-qualified leads provided by the lead generation team through professional phone conversations
- Assess prospect interest levels and business needs to determine qualification status
- Schedule high-quality appointments between genuinely interested prospects and company leadership
- Identify and prioritize “hot” leads showing strong buying intent for immediate follow-up
- Maintain seamless communication using the company’s Verizon OneTalk phone system
- Collaborate effectively with the lead generation specialist to optimize lead hand off processes and timing
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport over the phone
- Proven experience in appointment setting, inside sales, or customer qualification roles
- Strong listening skills to assess prospect needs accurately and buying intent
- Comfortable using phone applications and basic technology platforms
- Self-motivated professional who thrives in a remote work environment
- Ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration
