The Governance & Strategy Manager will support the Head of the Technology Management Office (TMO) in driving execution of CIO priorities by ensuring robust governance, strategic tracking, and cross-functional coordination across Technology units. This role will be responsible for managing and tracking action items emerging from key governance forums such as the MBO, SteerCo, and Governance Day, ensuring timely closure and visibility to leadership.
A key focus will be on designing and maintaining the CIO dashboard, consolidating inputs from all Technology units, and tracking KPIs to provide a comprehensive view of performance, strategic alignment, and delivery progress. The incumbent will work closely with the Transformation Office to maintain an up-to-date view of all Technology projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely reporting of progress, risks, and dependencies.
Additionally, the role will liaise with HR to ensure organizational structures across Technology are current, accurately reflect reporting lines, and support strategic workforce planning. The incumbent will also support the Head of TMO in preparing executive-level reports, presentations, and insights for senior leadership and governance bodies.
Governance Forum Action Management
Own the end-to-end tracking of action items arising from key governance forums including MBO, SteerCo, and Governance Day.
- Ensure timely follow-up, closure, and escalation of actions, maintaining a centralized and auditable repository.
- Provide regular updates and summaries to the Head of TMO for leadership visibility.
- • CIO Dashboard Development & Maintenance
Design and maintain a dynamic CIO Dashboard that consolidates strategic priorities, KPIs, initiative statuses, and governance metrics.
Ensure real-time accuracy and relevance of data by coordinating with all Technology units and support functions.
- • Technology KPI Consolidation & Reporting
- Collect, validate, and report unit-level KPIs across all Technology domains.
- Ensure alignment with CIO objectives and strategic scorecards.
- Highlight performance trends, gaps, and areas requiring intervention.
- • Project Portfolio Oversight
- Work closely with the Transformation Office to maintain an up-to-date view of all Technology projects.
- Track project health, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
- Support strategic reporting in governance forums.
• Organizational Structure Governance
Liaise with HR and Technology unit leads to ensure organizational structures are current and accurately reflect reporting lines and functional responsibilities.
- Support periodic reviews and restructuring efforts in line with strategic workforce planning.
- • Executive-Level Reporting & Communication
- Prepare high-quality reports, presentations, and briefing materials for the Head of TMO and senior leadership.
- Ensure consistency, clarity, and strategic alignment in all communications.
- • Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination
- Act as a central coordination point across Technology units, and HR.
- Facilitate seamless information flow and alignment on governance, strategy, and operational matters.
- • Governance Process Optimization
- Continuously assess and improve governance tracking, reporting, and dashboarding processes.
- Introduce automation and standardization where possible to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- • Risk & Issue Monitoring
- Identify and track risks and issues related to governance actions, strategic initiatives, and project delivery.
- Support mitigation planning and timely escalation to leadership.
- • Knowledge Management & Documentation
- Maintain structured documentation of governance decisions, strategic frameworks, and organizational changes.
- Ensure accessibility, version control, and compliance with internal standards.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technology governance, strategy execution, performance management, or a related function within a large-scale enterprise or financial institution.
- Proven experience in governance forum management, including tracking and reporting of action items from senior-level committees such as MBO, SteerCo, and executive governance boards.
- Strong understanding of technology strategy, transformation programs, and performance frameworks, with the ability to translate strategic objectives into measurable KPIs and dashboards.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams, including Technology units, Transformation Office, HR, and Finance, to gather, validate, and consolidate data for reporting and decision-making.
- Advanced proficiency in dashboarding and reporting tools (e.g., PPT, Excel, PowerBI or similar tools), with the ability to design executive-level visualizations and performance summaries.
- Solid grasp of organizational design principles, with experience in managing and updating organizational structures in collaboration with HR and business stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify gaps, propose solutions, and drive process improvements across governance and strategic tracking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare high-impact presentations, reports, and briefing materials for senior leadership.
- High level of attention to detail, organizational discipline, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience in risk and issue tracking, with the ability to escalate and support mitigation planning across strategic initiatives.
Familiarity with technology portfolio management and project lifecycle tracking, ideally in coordination with transformation or PMO functions or GRC.
