As Head of India Branch Operations in Digital & Platform Services (D&PS), you will lead a high-performing team supporting Commercial & Investment Banking in Mumbai. You’ll define and execute strategic priorities, foster a culture of collaboration and inclusion, and ensure operational excellence. Your leadership will drive process efficiency, regulatory compliance, and business growth. This role is pivotal in shaping client experiences and supporting the firm’s digital agenda.
You will partner with cross-functional teams including Technology, Sales, Product, Client Services, Finance, and Compliance to deliver innovative solutions. As a key member of local and regional committees, you’ll ensure robust governance and represent the firm during regulatory engagements. Your expertise will help drive transformation, talent development, and operational sustainability.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead D&PS Operations across location, product, regional, and global groups
- Define, drive, and communicate the strategic direction of Operations
- Empower teams to foster open communication, collaboration, diversity, and inclusion
- Plan and implement strategies for process efficiency and cost reduction
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements
- Achieve financial targets through effective cost, capacity, and budget planning
- Develop strong partnerships with cross-functional teams at a strategic level
- Present and negotiate project demands to create operational efficiencies
- Stay abreast of new technologies and lead change management initiatives
- Guide, hire, train, and retain talent to achieve organizational goals
- Review and approve Business Continuity Plans and oversee periodic tests
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 15 years’ experience in Operations or Risk Management
- Strong managerial and leadership skills with strategic thinking and agility
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills with senior stakeholders and regulators
- Deep technical and regulatory expertise in transaction banking and market operations
- Strong control and analytical mindset
- Decisive problem-solving and solution-oriented approach
- Effective delegation, planning, and time management skills
- Adaptability to evolving work structures and best practices
- Commitment to high standards of client service
- Proven ability to lead, groom, and retain large teams
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience representing organizations in regulatory forums and inspections
- Prior membership in local or regional governance committees
- Demonstrated success in driving digital transformation initiatives
- Advanced knowledge of business continuity planning and testing
- Experience in cross-functional partnership at a strategic level
- Strong understanding of local regulatory environment
- Familiarity with global banking operations and compliance standards
