As a Senior Product Associate within the Debit Product team, you contribute to the team by leveraging your expertise in product development and optimization to make a significant impact, supported by user research and customer feedback to fuel the creation of innovative products and continuously improve existing offerings. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our products and ongoing success. In this capacity, you will be expected to drive strategic initiatives that align with business goals, ensuring that product enhancements are both market-relevant and operationally feasible. You will also be responsible for synthesizing insights from diverse stakeholders to inform product roadmaps, while maintaining a strong focus on delivering measurable value to customers and the organization. Your leadership will help foster a culture of innovation and excellence across the product lifecycle.
Job Responsibilities
- Partners with the Product Manager to identify new product opportunities that reflect the needs of our customers and the market through user research and discovery
- Considers and plans for upstream and downstream implications of new product features on the overall product experience
- Supports the collection of user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform the strategic product roadmap and provide insight on potential product features that provide value to customers
- Analyzes, tracks, and evaluates product metrics including work to time, cost, and quality targets across the product development life cycle
- Writes the requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
- Facilitates effective communication between stakeholders, technology teams, and business partners to ensure alignment and transparency throughout the product development process.
- Monitors industry trends and competitive landscape to proactively identify areas for product differentiation and growth.
- Drives continuous improvement by soliciting feedback, conducting post-launch reviews, and implementing lessons learned to enhance future product releases.
- Champions a customer-centric mindset by advocating for user needs and ensuring that product decisions are informed by data and real-world insights.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in product management or a relevant domain area
- Proficient knowledge of the product development life cycle
- Experience in product life cycle activities including discovery and requirements definition
- Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy
- Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable product strategies.
- Applies effective communication and collaboration abilities to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Utilizes a customer-focused approach to inform product decisions and prioritize features that deliver measurable value.
- Exhibits adaptability and a growth mindset, embracing new technologies and methodologies to drive continuous improvement in product development.
