As a Lead Technical Program Manager in the Athena Platform team, you’ll partner with other Athena Platform teams, line-of-business engineers, and Quantitative Research developers to deliver multiple change programs. You will understand the program objectives and key results and ensure that program delivery meets business and controls needs across Markets and beyond. Using your technical experience and understanding, you will plan dependencies and manage risks and issues to maximize success and delivery of value
The CIB Markets Athena Platform technology team is responsible for building digital products that deliver best in class solutions for trade and risk management consistently across JPMorgan’s Markets businesses. Our products range from Core platform capabilities including distributed object storage, data streaming and an integrated development environment to business components including trade, risk, market data and reference data services and UI frameworks. Our team consists of Product Managers, Product Delivery Leads, Technical Program Managers, and Developers. The team is mindful in balancing due diligence with speed to market and creativity with discipline to produce best-in-class, efficient, thoughtful digital solutions for our clients.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product Owners, line of business technology, controls, Engineering and Quantitative Research teams to define and prioritize programs and ensure successful outcomes for the Athena Platform.
- Manage roadmaps, risks and issues, communicating and escalating effectively to stakeholders.
- Capture Objectives and Key Results, leveraging automated KPIs, to measure and drive success.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and continuously improve program delivery.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
- Software engineering experience writing object-oriented code.
- Experience working in a financial markets company such as an investment bank.
- Conversant with securities and financial derivatives products in at least one of the following asset classes: Credit, Equities, Rates, Foreign exchange, commodities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Sound judgement, the ability to make decisions about what to prioritize and what to not prioritize.
- Experience as a Technical Program Manager Owner or a strong desire to move into this role.
- Hands-on approach and an ability to be self-sufficient in processing data.
- Self-driven with a curiosity to learn and improve
