About The Role
As part of NOV’s regional payroll team will be directly responsible for supporting the business units in Denmark. The Payroll Administrator’s main responsibility is to ensure the timely processing of the monthly payroll schedule, with the ability to work under strict deadlines while always maintaining a high level of accuracy.
As a Payroll Administrator, you will be able to adapt to changing priorities and requirements while exercising sound judgment based on business needs. You will also be quick to identify critical information and respond appropriately.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the full range of tasks related to the monthly payroll processing in Denmark.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with local legal requirements and regulations.
- Provide daily operational payroll support and work closely with NOV’s outsourced vendors to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of payroll processing.
- Act as the first point of contact for your supported business units regarding payroll inquiries and updates.
- Prepare payroll master data input for the payroll system, ensuring accurate data handling.
- Perform time reconciliation.
- Verify payroll run results.
- Follow up on absences and requests for reimbursements from public authorities in Denmark.
- Submit tax approval for terminated, expatriate, and transferred employees.
- Handle annual income tax processes.
- Reconcile balance sheet and payroll-related accounts (e-income).
- Prepare payroll data for SOX testing and audit purposes.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll payments with appropriate quality control and auditing.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the external payroll provider (ADP) to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Collaborate with Corporate HR & Finance where relevant, including related payroll requests and reporting.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5 years of experience in a similar position
- Ability to understand, evaluate, and manage payroll data.
- Good understanding of accounting.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to provide colleagues with the information they need to perform their tasks and remove obstacles.
- Ability to effectively allocate time to complete tasks.
- Confident and professional when representing the company in person and in writing.
- Strong sense of customer focus (internal/external).
