The Role

Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated insurance professional with strong relationship and people skills to join our high-performing Personal Lines team in Palmerston North as a Personal Lines Underwriter, supporting our broker network. You’ll enjoy a hybrid work model, spending two days a week in our local Palmy office.

Helping our business grow and succeed in a challenging and changing environment, you’ll be responsible for:

• Being the key point of contact for all underwriting referrals via our Broker portal.
• Managing new business and ensuring the renewal of business is being retained by providing a first-class service and technical advice to our broker partners.
• Being instrumental in process improvement.
• Monitoring and analysing trends across renewals and claims.

You Show The Following Qualities:

• Have 2-3 years technical and market-facing expertise within personal lines insurance products;
• Possess exceptional communication skills across all mediums;
• Be logical in thought process, inquisitive and have a strong understanding of the New Zealand market and emerging trends.
