Job Title: Principal Data Scientist

About The Role:

We are seeking a visionary and hands-on Principal Data Scientist to lead strategic data science initiatives across the organization. This role combines deep technical expertise with business acumen to drive impactful solutions using advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor data scientists, and influence data-driven decision-making at the highest levels.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced machine learning models and AI solutions.
• Translate complex business problems into data science projects with measurable outcomes.
• Architect scalable data science pipelines and model lifecycle frameworks.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to integrate models into production systems.
• Drive innovation in predictive modeling, NLP, computer vision, and generative AI.
• Own the roadmap for data science initiatives aligned with business strategy.
• Mentor and guide a team of data scientists and analysts.
• Ensure ethical AI practices, model governance, and compliance with data privacy regulations.
• Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.

 

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in data science, machine learning, or AI roles.
• Proven track record of delivering production-grade ML solutions at scale.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Scala; experience with ML libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Expertise in statistical modeling, supervised/unsupervised learning, deep learning, and generative models.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
• Solid understanding of data engineering principles and MLOps practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in financial services, fintech, or regulated industries.
• Familiarity with LLMs, reinforcement learning, or causal inference.
• Publications or patents in AI/ML domains.
• Experience with data governance, model explainability, and fairness.
