Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is recruiting a Pūkenga - Lecturer or Pūkenga Matua - Senior Lecturer in Finance to join Te Kura Ohaoha Pūtea - School of Economics and Finance at Ōrauariki - Wellington School of Business and Government on a permanent, full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to academically rigorous teaching and to fostering student learning, both across the wider discipline and within your specific area of specialisation.
- Engage in ongoing scholarly research, including publishing in internationally refereed journals and contributing to the development of a coherent research agenda.
- Deliver learning and teaching in line with University policy, including responsibilities for assessment, course coordination, and the development of course materials.
- Contribute to the effective management of the School, including programme development, meeting accreditation standards, and maintaining relationships with professional and practitioner communities.

Key Requirements:
- A completed PhD in a relevant field, or equivalent qualifications appropriate to the discipline.
- Demonstrated evidence of successful teaching at tertiary level and a developing record of scholarly research and publication.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and external stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
