Businesses and corporations increasingly blend on-premises and cloud applications. Users need access to these applications both within their local infrastructure and in the cloud. The management of users across both environments presents complex challenges. Our team within Identity division, helps solves needs of the hybrid identity for large number of customers, By allowing common user identity for authentication and authorization to all resources, regardless of location. In this role, you'll be responsible for building/enhancing service responsible for provisioning identities through sync in Entra ID by developing code, upgrading, deploying and operating our team's infrastructure; and helping to respond to live site issues. This is a highly collaborative role in which you will work closely with feature teams across Identity to improve monitoring maturity and implement best practices.

Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer with an experienced technical background and passion for designing, developing, and deploying high-scale, high-throughput, and highly performant multi-tenant services.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead efforts and discussions for the architecture of aspects of products/solutions. Independently creates and mentors others for a clear and articulated plan for testing and assuring the quality of solutions, and defines success for outcomes of tests. Leads identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for a product, application, service, or platform. Collaborate effectively with various partner teams, including UX designers, product owners, data scientists, and other engineering teams. They should be adept at understanding requirements, identifying and addressing ambiguities, and translating them into well-implemented, high-quality code that ensures customer success at cloud scale. Responsibilities include:
- Lead by example and mentor team members to produce extensible, maintainable, and high-quality code. Optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to enhance performance and maintainability.
- Identify and implement best practices and coding patterns, providing deep expertise in coding and validation strategies. Utilize debugging tools, logs, telemetry, and other methods to proactively and reactively resolve issues.
- Oversee the identification of dependencies and the development of design documents for products, applications, services, or platforms. Facilitate coordination and communication across teams to resolve conflicts and ensure security and performance.
- Lead architectural discussions, create proposals, and oversee the testing of hypotheses and proposed solutions. Mentor team members in testing and quality assurance, defining success criteria for test outcomes.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, or C#, Java, or Python. OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of development products and scalable distributed services, and designing and building large-scale distributed systems.
- 4+ years of experience in cloud backend development and operation, including performance, reliability, resilience, and scale-out.
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, or maintaining secure software systems, with applied knowledge of authentication, data protection, access control, and secure coding practices
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
