Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented Edge Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our team in Springfield, Virginia
Clearance
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (existing clearance required to start)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph
Location
- Springfield, VA
Overview
- Provide cybersecurity expertise to edge system stakeholders including information system owners, information security professionals, systems engineers, and administrators
- Ensure technical alignment with overarching organizational requirements
- Recommend compliant and secure solutions to effectively manage system risk
- Provide SME cybersecurity consulting services and escalated support to edge systems including:
- Translating DoD/IC and agency-specific cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security controls through the system development lifecycle
- Maintaining awareness of new and upcoming policies or requirements and developing solutions accordingly
- Streamlining cybersecurity management using common controls or centralized monitoring solutions
- Conducting independent cybersecurity assessment testing and reporting to evaluate security control effectiveness
- Identifying deficiencies as POA&Ms and providing recommendations to improve or enhance cybersecurity mechanisms
- Evaluating system body of evidence documents for compliance and addressing identified gaps
- Analyzing, evaluating, and recommending COTS, GOTS, and other technologies for system implementation
- Supporting system engineers and administrators in implementing, testing, and transferring cybersecurity solutions for long-term operations
- Evaluating findings from cybersecurity assessments and assisting in remediation and POA&M closure
- Presenting, briefing, and providing status updates to senior leadership
- Translating DoD/IC and agency-specific cybersecurity policies, procedures, and security controls through the system development lifecycle

Qualifications
- 7 or more years of experience as an information system security professional
- Certification in one of the following: Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), Certified Security Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), CompTIA Cloud+, or CompTIA SecurityX (formerly CASP+)
- Proficient in:
- Implementing and facilitating the NIST RMF within DoD/IC information systems
- Applying secure configuration concepts, protocols, and security methodologies
- Developing and implementing organizational-level cybersecurity programs (e.g., continuous monitoring, vulnerability management, or incident response)
- Capturing, analyzing, and decomposing cybersecurity requirements and developing solutions
- Securing and evaluating systems for compliance with DISA STIGs
- Strong initiative, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and reporting skills
- Implementing and facilitating the NIST RMF within DoD/IC information systems

Nice To Have
- Experience administering or engineering:
- Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, VMware, SNOW
- Cyber tools such as ACAS, Trellix, Splunk, ePO, Rapid7
- Experience operating the SNOW CAM module in alignment with RMF
- Familiarity with cyber resilience engineering practices
