Primary Objective:

The Project Management/Estimator serves as the primary customer contact for pricing and project management within an assigned territory. Customers include both DOT agencies and independent contractors.The role is responsible for leading all pricing communications with customers, primarily through the agency bid letting process, but also for annual maintenance projects and ad hoc pricing requests. Working closely with the Regional Sales Manager, the Project Management/Estimator’s primary goal is to maximize sales revenue and gross profit within their territory (e.g., by state).A secondary goal is to build trust and long-term relationships with customers by providing ongoing product and service solutions, positioning the company as the preferred provider in the market. Depending on the territory, this role may manage 25–50 customers (both agencies and contractors) and will occasionally travel for face-to-face meetings to strengthen relationships.
Note: The territory that this role will be responsible for is the Mountain Region which include the states of CO., NM., UT., and WY. This is a Remote position with the preferred state residence of CO. 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Manage the bid letting process within the territory:
  • Create accurate quotes and sales orders to ensure efficient order fulfillment· Negotiate pricing with vendors when appropriate· Advise customers on products and solutions to best meet their needs· Apply company project management standards and best practices· Maintain proficiency in CSI tools and processes.· Analyze and report bid tab results.· Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, industry trends, and competitors.· Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned in support of business objectives.
o Review letting bulletins and select/order projects for biddingo Review and organize plans and specificationso Coordinate application engineering needso Prepare and submit quotes that meet company guidelines for gross margin and order structureo Assemble and review supporting documentation (e.g., tax exemption certificates, purchase orders, bonding documents, cut sheets, certifications)o Create project management plans as requiredo Provide follow-up customer contact to close out the bid process Requirements

Qualifications

  • Education & Experience· Four year college degree preferred. · Minimum of 5 years of progressive industry or technical product sales experience
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint); familiarity with ERP systems and project management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to interpret technical specifications and financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building long-term customer relationships.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple bids/projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, independent judgment, and sound decision-making in a fast-paced environment.  

Physical Demands And Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit; talk or hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion the employee may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders. 

The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and ability to adjust focus.
