Position Overview:
The position reports directly to the Deputy CISO and is under the USA region of MCM and supports retail, wholesale, and e-commerce activities, as well as the corporate organization. The IT Manager is responsible for managing IT infrastructure and application systems for regional US businesses and providing IT support for employees in offices and stores for all software applications and hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Stay updated on IT policies and guides from global IT. Educate internal employees and respond to compliance audit inquiries.
- Collaborate with global IT and local IT vendors on various IT projects held both regionally and globally. Cooperate with global IT for new IT system roll-outs to regional offices and stores.
- Manage a regional data center partner and implement a dedicated VPN connection with the central data center.
- Oversee and control the local network between the regional data center, offices, and stores.
- Lead all new office and store setups regarding network, POS, software/application, and user support.
- Assist in the creation and evaluation of IT requests and direct them to the appropriate internal/external IT resource based on request requirements and resource capabilities.
- Evaluate, procure, and maintain POS and back-office systems for a multi-location retailer. Create procedures and structures of support for the retail stores in the US. Train retail store personnel on the register system, etc.
- Provide a high degree of coordination between users, technical, application, and corporate entities to ensure effective data management as a corporate enterprise. Ensure solutions meet business objectives.
- Work with management teams to analyze the company’s software and hardware resources and make recommendations to improve functionality. Consistently monitor users’ equipment and create an equipment replacement program.
- Perform server and database maintenance as necessary. Monitor and perform backups, free up hard drive space on servers, monitor resources on servers, and perform routine server restarts and flushes. Monitor database sizes and consistencies.
- Support the retail and wholesale physical inventory process – organize file formats with third-party companies and load physical inventory results into the ERP system.
- Oversee all IT purchasing/investments. Create budgets and forecast future IT resource needs. Maintain vendor relationships, including review/approval/submission of vendor invoices.
- Forecast, plan, research, and select new technologies that will position the company with the necessary information and technological expertise to achieve business goals.
- Understand and work with the warehouse on the EDI process. Maintain a relationship with the EDI support provider. Ensure proper support for Sales and Customer Service teams as required.
- Ensure all system interfaces to the company ERP system are implemented as necessary promptly.
- Responsible for all communication devices: phone systems, PC maintenance, network (VPN) maintenance, cell phones, security equipment, and technology.
- Analyze and resolve issues regarding application functionality and data integrity.
- Get involved in e-commerce enhancement tasks and support internal teams at ongoing stages in terms of technical aspects.
- Work with e-commerce platform contractors who provide their service via cloud service; set SLA, monitor system performance daily, respond to any unexpected events, and control troubleshooting.
- Present high-level information to senior executives.
- Support regional employees in all technical matters via direct contact, email, phone, visit, etc.
Requirements
Experience & Key Competencies:
- Minimum 5 - 10 years of IT experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related.
- Knowledge of ERP is required (SAP prefer).
- Strong expertise in network equipment, IT security, and endpoint devices.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft O365 products and solutions
- Preferably, knowledge in Windows servers, middleware S/W, Microsoft exchange server, and active directory.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and global headquarters.
- Willingness to travel as required by the job requests.
