The Trager Institute Program & Wellness Coordinator supports both administrative operations and wellness initiatives at the Trager Institute, with a specialized focus on the Culinary Medicine Kitchen. This full-time, on-site position ensures efficient office operations, coordination of wellness services, and leadership of nutrition-based programming designed to promote healthy aging and holistic well-being. This position requires occasional travel and participation in evening/weekend programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist visitors, students, faculty, and clients in a courteous and professional manner.
- Answer phones and respond to emails promptly, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Coordinate and maintain in-office and virtual scheduling systems for meetings, wellness services, and appointments.
- Arrange travel for staff and faculty in compliance with University procedures.
- Manage office supply inventory, mail distribution, document filing, and general office upkeep.
- Prepare meeting agendas and minutes, support AV setup, and assist with routine IT troubleshooting.
- In accordance with University policies, receive and process payments for registrations and classes, complete and track purchases for office operations and wellness services, assist with Procard reallocations to ensure appropriate charges to programs, gifts, and grants.
- Support financial tracking of class registrations, payments, and deposits in line with university fiscal guidelines.
- Assist with setup and logistics for on-site events, workshops, and conferences.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful planning and execution of Trager events.
- Maintain databases and schedules related to event planning and team meetings.
- Lead the planning, promotion, and implementation of wellness initiatives focused on exercise, nutrition, lifestyle and preventative health.

- Collaborate with clinicians, chefs, and community partners to align kitchen activities with overall wellness and clinical goals.
- Maintain compliance with kitchen safety and hygiene standards; oversee equipment usage and cleanliness.
- Manage kitchen inventory and purchasing in accordance with university guidelines.
- Collect participation data and feedback to inform quality improvement and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare, public health, or academic environment.
- Interest in wellness, culinary education, and community health programming.
- ServeSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
- Familiarity with university or nonprofit operations and purchasing systems.
- Experience in administrative support and/or wellness programming.
